6News video: Art a la Carte

On the heels of the summer Cole Porter biopic “Delovely,” Lawrence Community Theatre opens one of the songwriter’s best-loved musicals this weekend. Ticket sales have been strong for the local version of the Tony award-winning show “Anything Goes.” The production, which features favorite numbers like “I Get a Kick Out of You” and “It’s Delovely” runs for three weekends.

And the holiday shopping season may have officially started this morning but a wackier buying excursion is in store for those who visit the Bizarre Bazaar on Saturday. The 15-year-old art fair features eclectic work created by area creative types whose materials range from traditional to funky. Think grapefruit skins and bubble gum. The bazaar runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Lawrence Arts Center.
