Anyone who has ever had a difficult discussion with their aging parent(s) should not miss tonight's installment of "Conversations with Carrie Fisher" (9 p.m., Oxygen). The "Star Wars" princess sits down with her 78-year-old father, crooner Eddie Fisher. Once the handsome idol of the bobby-soxer set, Eddie now looks rather confused and dissipated. A 37-year addiction to cocaine and speed will do that to you.

Carrie conducts a brutally frank interview with her dad, berating him for his drug habit; for not being a good father; for being a stranger to his grandchildren; and for squandering upwards of $20 million.

The interview is laced with clips of the young Eddie entertaining troops in Korea and singing on his weekly television show, "Coke Time with Eddie Fisher."

  • Are fish farms the answer to a hungry world, or a threat to wild marine species? This and other dilemmas are explored on "Farming the Seas" (9 p.m., PBS).
  • Peter Jennings interviews President Bill Clinton on a special "PrimeTime" (8 p.m., ABC). Clinton's presidential library opens today in Little Rock, Ark. A second hour of "PrimeTime" (9 p.m., ABC) features a report on British Prince Harry's recent trip to Lesotho and the AIDS epidemic that has ravaged that nation.
  • "CSI" (8 p.m., CBS) has now spent three seasons at or near the No. 1 spot in the ratings. It has spawned two sequels and, tonight, airs its 100th episode. In the show's signature style, forensics sleuthing makes way for an amble into Las Vegas' kinky subcultures. Tonight, the murder of a gender-bending victim leaves some investigators confused.
  • Will the women continue their domination on "Survivor" (7 p.m., CBS)? The guys have only themselves to blame for their speedy demise: Their season-long strategy has been to vote off their strongest players.

Tonight's other highlights

  • Summer mulls her feelings about Seth on "The O.C." (7 p.m., Fox).
  • The teams create an in-store catalog for a jeans manufacturer on "The Apprentice" (8 p.m., NBC).
  • A pattern of disappearances plagues a homeless shelter on "Without a Trace" (9 p.m., CBS).
  • A brutalized rape victim strives to aid the police on "ER" (9 p.m., NBC).
