Law enforcement report
- Because of technical difficulties, the Lawrence Police Department on Thursday did not release statistics about police activity from the previous day.
- Lawrence Police on Wednesday arrested a 54-year-old Lawrence man on suspicion of threatening a 20-year-old acquaintance with a knife.
Sgt. Dan Ward, a Lawrence Police spokesman, said the suspect made an unprovoked, lewd comment toward the victim. When the victim confronted him, the suspect pulled a knife, Ward said.
Condition report
- Sara Anne Driessel, the Kansas University student injured last month after falling from a roof in the Oread neighborhood, remained in critical condition Thursday at University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kan.
