Lawrence students advance to nationals

Nine Lawrence students qualified to compete at National History Day on April 17.

Students had to place first or second in their divisions at the State History Day in Abilene to advance to the national event, which will be June 13-17.

Lawrence High School students advancing in the senior division are Drew Cummings, individual documentary, first place; Andrew McKee, individual documentary, second place; Laura Parkinson, individual performance, first place; and Elizabeth Stuewe, individual exhibit, second place.

Central Junior High School students who advanced in the junior division were Hannah Frydman and Mulligan Greenwell, group documentary, first place; and Rosemary O’Malley, individual documentary, first place.

Quail Run School students advancing in the junior division were Megan Bracciano and Lea Greenberg, group performance, second place.
