Benefit to raise money to help orphans
Kansas City, Mo. ? Unity Temple on the Plaza will be host to a benefit for orphaned children of South Africa starting at 5 p.m. March 20. The church at 707 W. 47th St. in Kansas City, Mo., is sponsoring the event with the Light Center of Baldwin.
Neale Donald Walsch, author of “Conversations with God,” will speak on spirituality. The event also will feature music from Kansas City-area artists Greg Tamblyn and Bukeka Shoals as well as a performance by the Children’s Dance Theatre from City in Motion. A silent auction will be conducted throughout the evening. Money raised will help find homes for children orphaned by the AIDS epidemic in South Africa.
