‘Save Ed’ campaign too late

New York — The creators of “Ed” are gratified for a “Save Ed” campaign, but it looks like they’re moving out of Stuckeyville.

A group hoping to convince NBC to keep “Ed” alive ran a full-page ad in the trade newspaper Variety on Friday. The fourth season-ending episode ran earlier this month, with characters Ed (Tom Cavanagh) and Carol (Julie Bowen) getting married at the bowling alley in fictional Stuckeyville, Ohio.

Series creators Rob Burnett and Jon Beckerman — who took on-air cameos as wedding guests — said it was their understanding with NBC executives that the series was over. They wrote the wedding episode to be a finale.

Burnett and Beckerman are writing a pilot episode for a new NBC series. Burnett joked that they’re calling it “Ted.”

Kellerman moving to Fox Sports

New York — Max Kellerman, the opinionated, Emmy-nominated broadcaster and boxing analyst, will begin a new show on Fox Sports Net.

The daily 30-minute talk and interview show will be a cross between “The O’Reilly Factor” and “The Daily Show,” Fox Sports said Thursday. The show is being developed to debut in mid-April.

Kellerman joins Fox Sports Net from ESPN, where he was most recently the host of “Around the Horn.” Before that, he was a studio analyst for “Friday Night Fights” on ESPN 2.

“I always dreamed of playing third base for the Yankees, but they chose to go in another direction. So, for me, this is the next best thing,” Kellerman said in a statement.

Anderson happy being single

New York — After high-profile romances with rockers Tommy Lee and Kid Rock, Pamela Anderson is happily single — and says being a full-time mom dominates her life.

“Maybe I won’t date again until my kids are 18. I’m very happy,” Anderson told The Associated Press in a phone interview Thursday.

“I only have room for my kids, so that’s taking all of my time. I’m a full-time mom and I focus on that,” said the 36-year-old actress. Sons Brandon, 7, and Dylan, 6, are from Anderson’s marriage to former Motley Crue drummer Lee.

Anderson also is busy doing voice-overs for Spike TV’s animated series “Stripperella,” writing a column for Jane magazine and working on two books to be published by Atria.

Johansson joins Calvin Klein

New York — Scarlett Johansson, who gained critical notice for her films “Lost in Translation” and “Girl With a Pearl Earring,” is now being noticed by the fashion world.

The 19-year-old actress will be the face of a new Calvin Klein fragrance that will hit the market in the fall. Shooting on the print and television ads will begin next month. (She also was featured in Cynthia Rowley’s spring fashion show in September.)

“Scarlett is a talented young force that exudes a sophistication and confidence that is not readily seen today and, she balances it with a relaxed attitude and a sense of humor,” Kim Vernon, senior vice president of global communications and advertising for Calvin Klein, said in a statement Tuesday.
