Accidents

  • One person was injured when a car and a pickup truck collided Sunday morning at the intersection of 10th and Kentucky streets, Lawrence Police said. William Young, 49, was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released, a nursing supervisor said. Young was driving a 1989 Buick Century north on Kentucky and James Otten, 50, Lawrence, was driving a 2001 Toyota Tundra east on 10th, according to the police report.
  • Two people were injured Sunday afternoon in a one-car accident in Franklin County, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. A 1995 Saturn driven by Lisa Wunderlich, 17, Osage City, was westbound on Kansas Highway 68 about six miles east of Ottawa when it entered a snow-covered area, went out of control and struck a railroad bungalow, according to the Highway Patrol report. Wunderlich and a passenger, Alisa A. Babler, 30, Osage City, were taken by ambulance to Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa. There was no information about their condition.
