Tami Cooper, vice chairwoman of the Reno County Republican Party, took over Friday as executive director of the Kansas Republican Assembly during the 2004 KRA Gala Dinner in Topeka.

Cooper has worked for several years in Hutchinson to get conservative candidates elected in Reno County and at the state level.

The Kansas Republican Assembly is the largest conservative Republican organization in Kansas.
