Lawrence Police said Thursday that in the past 24 hours they’d handled:

  • 215 calls
  • 30 reports
  • one burglary
  • one theft
  • 11 noninjury accidents
  • A 32-year-old Lawrence woman told police she was raped Monday afternoon at her central Lawrence apartment. She said it happened after she met a man in the parking lot, had a conversation with him and went back to her apartment with him. She reported the incident the next day.

Police are investigating but have not identified a suspect, said Sgt. Dan Ward, a Lawrence Police spokesman.
