Vote in our 2004 Comics Survey

Because tastes and trends change, every so often we think it’s important to ask what you like and dislike about your newspaper. And perhaps more than any other content, we know readers have passionate love and hatred for particular comic strips.

But maybe your favorite strip a couple years ago has become tired and trite. Or maybe a new artist has caught your attention in other newspapers or on the Internet. We’ve noticed these changes, too, so it’s time to freshen up the Journal-World’s comics pages.

As we consider changes to the Journal-World’s comics pages, we’d like to hear what you think is funny. Tell us which strips you’re passionate about and which one’s you’d like to see replaced. We can’t promise we’ll please everyone, but it’s always instructive to hear readers’ comments as we exercise editorial judgment.text Vote here

Before we kick the has-beens to the curb, we want you to tell us what you think is funny and which comic strips are your favorites.

You’ll find a ballot you can mail in on page 5E of Sunday’s paper, or you can vote online here. The deadline for submitting a ballot is Dec. 15, and you may only vote once — either by paper or online.

After the votes have been tabulated, we’ll let you help pick new comics to replace any that get sent packing.

We know we can’t — and don’t promise to — please everyone, but it’s always instructive to hear readers’ comments as we exercise editorial judgment.
