Lawrence Police did not release a report of police activity Friday because of technical difficulties.

Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A 30-year-old Lawrence man told police he thought a friend used a key to get into his home in the 1400 block of Haskell Avenue and steal nearly $2,000 worth of property, including a microwave and television. The suspect also apparently tried to remove the bathroom sink, according to a report.

The burglary happened between 4:15 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday.
