Chilly Halloween evening forecasted

Witches and werewolves may want to wear layers tonight.

Temperatures will dip into the mid- to lower-40s Friday evening, said 6News Meteorologist Matt Jabobs. “The winds won’t be bad, though. They will be northerly, around 5 to 10 mph.”

The rain predicted earlier this week will hold off until at least after midnight, Jacobs said.

“The better chance for rain will be late tomorrow,” Jacobs said. The chance of rain Saturday morning is around 20 percent, and the remainder of the weekend will be mostly cloudy with some chance for rain both days.

Sunday’s temperatures should warm up. “We’ll probably see a peak in temperatures, probably around 70 degrees,” Jacobs said.

Last year, Halloween temperatures were unusually low. The temperature during trick-or-treating hours was in the 30s.
