Fans can attend tribute for Cash through lottery

Nashville, Tenn. — Free tickets for the Nov. 10 Johnny Cash Memorial Tribute will be distributed by lottery, with an Oct. 26 deadline for entries.

John Mellencamp, Dwight Yoakam and George Jones have been added to the list of performers for the Ryman Auditorium show, according to publicist Webster & Associates.

Already announced are Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Sheryl Crow, Hank Williams Jr. and Cash’s daughter, Rosanne.

For tickets, send a 3 1/2-by-5-inch card or paper with name, address and daytime telephone number to Johnny Cash Memorial Tribute, P.O. Box 20003, Nashville, TN 37202. Only one entry per person is allowed, and all entries must be received by 10:59 p.m. CDT Oct. 26.

Winners will be chosen in an Oct. 27 drawing and notified by phone no later than Oct. 31. Each winner will receive two free reserved tickets.

Cash died Sept. 12 at age 71 of complications from diabetes.

Foley says ‘no infidelity’ in marriage with Garner

Radnor, Pa. — Scott Foley says rumors of infidelity causing his divorce from “Alias” star Jennifer Garner are untrue.

“Nobody else was involved,” Foley says in the Oct. 25 issue of TV Guide. “Jennifer became a huge celebrity. She became a huge star, and she deserved everything she got. There was no other relationship, there was no infidelity, nothing. People get divorced, you know? Through no one’s fault and everyone’s fault.”

Garner filed for divorce from Foley earlier this year. The 31-year-old actress blamed irreconcilable differences for the breakup in papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Dr. Seuss stamp planned

Springfield, Minn. — Oh, the places he’ll go — through the U.S. mail.

Theodor Geisel, Springfield’s most famous literary native son who’s best known as Dr. Seuss, is getting his face printed on a 37-cent postage stamp.

Geisel’s widow will introduce the stamp Oct. 27 during a ceremony at the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden in Springfield.

The stamp will feature a color photograph of the author of “The Cat in the Hat” and “Oh, The Places You’ll Go,” surrounded by illustrations of six characters from his books.

Geisel died after a long illness in 1991 at 87.

It’s a girl for Harmon, Sehorn

Los Angeles — Former “Law & Order” actress Angie Harmon and her pro football player husband, Jason Sehorn, are the parents of a baby girl.

Finley Faith Sehorn was born Tuesday at a Dallas hospital, publicist Troy Mankin said Wednesday. No other details were released.

Sehorn, a free safety for the St. Louis Rams, was at Monday night’s 36-0 win over the Atlanta Falcons, then flew to be at his wife’s side for the birth.

Harmon, 31, and Sehorn, 32, married in Dallas in 2001.
