Injury accident

  • Two people were injured about 3 a.m. Sunday when the 1996 Oldsmobile they were riding in went out of control, traveled down an embankment and struck a utility pole. The accident occurred on Wellman Road near 26th Street in Jefferson County. Terrance E. Huss Jr., 21, Winchester, who was driving, was taken to Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka. Quentin Bertels, 24, Lawrence, was taken to University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. Their conditions weren’t available Sunday night.
