Injury accidents

• One person was taken about 9 a.m. Saturday by helicopter ambulance to KU Med in Kansas City, Kan., as a precaution for possible internal injuries, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said.

The injured person was a passenger in a Chrysler car that was westbound on U.S. Highway 56 when it was struck by a southbound Chevrolet Suburban at the intersection of U.S. Highway 59. Sheriff’s officers were investigating the accident, and no other information was available late Saturday.

Burglaries and thefts reported

• A spray paint rig valued at $3,500 was reported taken from a 48-year-old Lawrence man. Damage to a front door frame and from paint on a sidewalk was estimated at $850. The burglary occurred between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday in the 3300 block of Huntington Road.
• Lottery tickets valued at $10,300 were reported taken from Wood Oil, 920 N. Second St. The theft occurred between 8 a.m. June 6 and 3 p.m. Wednesday.
