Lied Series tickets go on sale Monday

Single tickets for the 2003-2004 Lied Center Series will go on sale to the general public Monday.

This year’s series includes a variety of top-notch arts events, including performances by Hubbard Street Dance Chicago (above), a staging of “CATS” and a concert by world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma. For tickets, call the Lied Center at 864-2787.

Nelson-Atkins to open French painting exhibit

Kansas City, Mo.– Great works by 19th-century French painters, such as “Paris Kiosk” by Jean Beraud (above), will be on view beginning Saturday at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
