Accidents
¢ A woman riding a moped was flown to KU Med, in Kansas City, Kan., about 6 p.m. Tuesday after she crashed into a brick wall in front of the former Carnegie Library building at Ninth and Vermont streets. Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical took the woman to Seventh and Kentucky streets near where Life Star helicopter landed in Buford M. Watson Jr. Park to pick her up. The victim’s name and additional information were unavailable late Tuesday night.
