Three days of events in July will mark the official completion of the Dole Institute of Politics now under construction.

The new building will be dedicated July 22, the third and final day of what is being called “The Greatest Celebration of the Greatest Generation.”

Information was distributed at the Dole series lecture Sunday at Woodruff Auditorium.

Among the events scheduled beginning July 20 are a vintage aircraft display and air show at Lawrence Municipal Airport, a 1940s fashion show, a re-created USO show and a tribute to former Kansas U.S. Sen. Robert Dole

A number of government dignitaries, including President George W. Bush, will be invited, Smith said.
