Injury accident

• One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident Monday evening at the junction of U.S. Highways 56 and 59 west of Baldwin. A northbound 1991 Mazda struck a 2000 Dodge minivan that had pulled into the intersection from the west, Douglas County Sheriff’s officers said.

The driver of the Mazda suffered a possible broken arm and was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. No other information was available and officers were investigating.

Burglaries and thefts reported

• Three 21-year-old women reported the theft of several items from their residence in the 4500 block of Freedom Court. The thefts occurred during a burglary sometime Aug. 12 or Wednesday. Taken were two DVD players, a laptop computer, Palm Pilot base, DVDs, a gold ring and a digital camera.
• An Acura Integra valued at $4,000 was reported taken sometime Friday or Saturday from the 300 block of Bristol Terrace. An 18-year-old man reported the theft.
• Police are investigating the thefts of several items from SuperTarget, 3201 Iowa, thought to have occurred over a period from February to Thursday. Taken were more than $1,160 in cash, beverages, eye shadow and sushi packages.
• A concrete saw belonging to Hicks Classic Concrete Inc., 1105 Lawrence Ave., is missing. The saw, valued at $1,872, was taken sometime between July 23 and Aug. 5, according to a Lawrence Police report.
