Service set for man missing in Bali

? The parents of a former University of Nebraska football standout presumed dead in the bombings in Bali, Indonesia, have planned a memorial service in the Kansas City area.

Jake Young, a 34-year-old corporate attorney, has not been seen since the Oct. 12 blasts that killed at least 180 people at a popular nightspot on the resort island.

Young had been working in Hong Kong for a London-based law firm but recently took a job in the Kansas City area with Dickinson Financial Corp., a bank holding company. His wife, Laura, and their 2-year-old son had already moved to the Kansas City area.

A memorial for Young is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Episcopal Church in Overland Park, Kan.

Another service is planned for later this month in Midland, Tex., where his parents, Barbara and Jacob Young, live.

Young’s parents had sent hair and saliva samples to Bali to aid in any DNA identification of their son, who had been in Indonesia to play in one last rugby tournament before returning to live with his family in the United States.
