Burglaries and thefts reported
Two vehicles parked in the 200 block of Dakota Court were damaged and items inside were taken, according to a Lawrence Police report. A 41-year-old man told police Sunday morning that a 1999 Ford F-150 pickup truck sustained damage to a side window and several tools were taken. A 1996 Nissan Altima also had a broken side window, and several compact disks were taken. Total damage and losses including both vehicles was $4,383.
A 1991 Lincoln limousine was vandalized sometime Sunday night or Monday morning while it was parked in the 700 block of East Ninth Street, Lawrence Police said. A side window was damaged. A stereo system, VCR and several compact discs were taken from the car. Damage and losses were listed at $7,375.
Condition reports
The condition of Ryan D. Galemore, 20, Olathe, was upgraded to fair Tuesday at KU Med, Kansas City, Kan. Another Olathe man, Joshua I. Walton, 20, was still in serious condition at KU Med. Both were injured Oct. 8 when their car collided head-on with a tractor-trailer on Kansas Highway 10 west of Eudora.
