Lawrence school board
Board considers course offerings
Bottom Line
The board will be asked to shuffle course offerings at secondary schools. The plan is to add four, delete three and change the name of six for 2003-2004.
A new $5 fee for cleaning of robes in high school music groups will be considered.
It would apply in 2003-2004 to sophomore concert choirs, the Concert Choir/Concert Chorale and A Cappella Choir/Chamber Choir.
Background
These changes are in addition to previous adjustments approved by the board in March.
Additions to course booklets include two computer programming courses for high school students. Supplemental reading and math classes at Central Junior High School are also proposed.
Low enrollment at the high schools prompted a recommendation for removal of business communications and record keeping classes.
