KC Spirit Festival kicks off today

? The 19th Kansas City Spirit Festival will bring together national musical acts, a carnival and a fly-by demonstration by the Stealth bombers from Whitman Air Force Base.

The festival is today through Sunday in Penn Valley Park at the Liberty Memorial, 31st and Wyandotte.

Tickets are $10 at the gate. Adults older than 65 and children 12 and younger are admitted free.

SpiritFest Shuttles are available at any Metro stop on Grand Avenue between Truman Road and 21st Street or on Main between 31st and 47th streets. On-site parking from 31st Street and Wyandotte will be limited and will cost $5 per vehicle.
