Katie Naeve, 19, Ames, Iowa, was in fair condition Friday night at KU Med, Kansas City, Kan., a hospital spokesman said. Naeve was taken there after a two-car accident about 4:35 p.m. at the intersection of West Hills Parkway and Emery Road. Lawrence Police said the 1999 Honda Civic Naeve was driving collided with a 1995 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Mirco Speretta, 27, Lawrence. Speretta and a passenger, Giuseppe Speretta, 55, Lawrence, were not injured.
