The last of the five-part series shown Friday morning in Asia included several videotapes of purported al-Qaida fighters training in Russia, Asia and East Africa visual evidence, it said, of the terrorist group’s extensive presence around the globe and its links to other terror organizations.

“It gives a comprehensive picture of al-Qaida’s” global reach, Rohan Gunaratna, an expert on terror and author of a book on al-Qaida who reviewed the tapes, told CNN. “It very clearly demonstrates that al-Qaida is waging a universal jihad (holy war) campaign.”
