Bill and Betty Leslie, Lecompton, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. March 11 at their home, 2067 E. 600 Road.
They were married March 7, 1947, in Oskaloosa.
Bill and Betty graduated from Lecompton High School in 1944.
Bill was a lifelong farmer in the Lecompton area, and Betty worked for the Douglas County Treasurer's Office and the Kansas University Endowment Association.
Their children are Dennis Leslie, Lawrence; and Bonny Fugett and Jim Leslie, both of Lecompton.
They have eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Duaine and Donalda Lindholm, Worden, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends at an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. March 4 at Worden United Methodist Church, 294 E. 900 Road.
Laurel Duaine Lindholm and Donalda Mae Hobson were married Feb. 24, 1947, in the church parsonage at Worden.
They have lived in the Worden area all of their married life.
Their daughters, Terrie Lindholm and Connie Taylor, will host the open house. Their oldest daughter, Cheryl, died of breast cancer in August 2002.
Duaine and Donalda have five grandchildren and eight great-grandsons.

Pete and Arlene Lawson, Eudora, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. March 4 at their home, 622 E. 14th Place. Their children will host the event.
Pete Lawson and Arlene Westerhouse were married March 7, 1942, in the former Eudora United Methodist parsonage.
Pete graduated from Eudora High School in 1941. He entered the U.S. Navy in May 1942 and served in the South Pacific for 17 months as a guard on Tinian Island, where atomic bombs were assembled.
He was discharged in October 1945 and began mechanic's training for Ship Winter Chevrolet in Lawrence. He also worked for Rothberger Motor Co. and Broers Chevrolet, both in Eudora, before purchasing the building in 1962. Pete and his business partner, Ray Warmker, renamed the building Pete and Ray's Garage. After Warmker's death, the business changed to Pete's Garage, which he operated until he retired in 1975.
Arlene graduated from Eudora High School in 1940 and worked for District Judge Paul Rankin at the Douglas County Courthouse for three years.
She served as assistant city clerk for the city of Eudora until 1963 when she became city clerk. She retired in September 1988.
Their children are Kenneth and Sharon Lawson, and John and Karen Kaye Spitzli, all of Eudora. They have four granddaughters and six great-grandchildren.

Fred and Ruth Ramseyer, Lawrence, will celebrate their 68th wedding anniversary on March 1.
Fred A. Ramseyer and Ruth Arlene Metsinger were married March 1, 1939, in Lamar, Mo. Their children are Roger Ramseyer, Gardner, and Mary Ann Marquette, Springdale, Ark.
They have three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Dale and Terri Coffin, Oskaloosa, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amelia Kay Coffin, Oskaloosa, to Mark Ryan Burnett, Wamego, son of Lynn and Marcia McGhee, Lawrence.
The future bride is a 2005 graduate of McLouth High School and attended Emporia State University. She is employed at the Peruvian Connection in Tonganoxie.
The future groom is a 2004 graduate of McLouth High School. He is pursuing a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics at Kansas State University. He plans to graduate in December 2007. He is employed at Downey Ranch in Wamego.
The couple plan a June 16, 2007, wedding at McLouth First Baptist Church.

Gary and Chris Hunziker, Ames, Iowa, and Pat and Vickie Mulvihill, Perry, announce the engagement of their children, Megan Hunziker and Joseph Mulvihill, both of Lawrence.
The future bride is a 2002 graduate of Ames High School and is pursuing a master's degree is architecture at Kansas University. She plans to graduate in May.
The future groom is a 2002 graduate of Perry-Lecompton High School and received a degree in business marketing in 2006 from KU. He is employed by PlattForm Advertising in Olathe.
The couple plan a June 23, 2007, wedding in Ames. A local reception will be given July 7 at the American Legion in Perry.

Ronald Sebring, Topeka, and Patricia Robinett, Tecumseh, announce the engagement of their daughter, Cassie Sebring, Topeka, to Kiel Donahey, Lawrence, son of Robin and Nancy Donahey, Lawrence.
Cassie is a 2000 graduate of Seaman High School in Topeka. She received a visual arts education degree in 2006 from Kansas University and is working on an internship.
Kiel is a 2002 graduate of Lawrence High School. He is pursuing a nursing degree at Neosho County Community College.
The couple plan a July 21, 2007, wedding at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence.
