The future groom is a 1999 graduate of Lawrence High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in business and accounting from KU. He plans to graduate from Washburn University Law School in 2007. He works part-time as a flight instructor.
The couple plan an Aug. 12, 2006, wedding at First United Methodist Church in Lawrence.

The future groom is a 2000 graduate of Thomas More Prep-Marian High School in Hays and a 2005 graduate of KU, where he majored in history and minored in geography. He is an ensign in the U.S. Navy and attends flight school at Naval Air Station Whiting Field in Milton, Fla.
The couple plan an Oct. 7, 2006, wedding at Williamstown Assembly of God Church in Perry.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and business administration from Kansas University, where she received a master's degree in accounting and information systems in December 2005. She is employed by Grant Thornton, a public accounting firm in Kansas City, Mo. She is the granddaughter of Blanche Hallagin, Goodland, and Marilyn White, El Dorado.
The future groom is a 2001 graduate of Lawrence High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biomechanical engineering in December 2005 from KU. He is the grandson of Maria and Jacob Jan Haagsma, Amstelveen, Netherlands, and Christina van de Liefvoort, Arnhem, Netherlands.
The couple haven't set a wedding date.

Dick and Joan Wilson, Lawrence, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary from July 16-22 with their children in the Rocky Mountains.
Richard H. "Dick" Wilson and P. Joan Fink were married July 5, 1956, in Quinter.
Their children are Rick and Leslie Wilson, Indianapolis; Steven and Michelle Wilson, Overland Park; and Rolf and Patricia Geyling, Tujunga, Calif. They have 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Dick and Joan retired and moved to Lawrence in 1992.

E. L. "Bud" and Gwen Larson, Lawrence, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with family from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at their home.
They were married Aug. 7, 1946, in Abilene. They moved to Lawrence on their 57th anniversary from Wichita, where they had resided for 33 years.
Bud retired in 1985 from Kansas Gas & Electric Co. after 34 years. Gwen retired in 1985 from St. Francis Hospital, where she worked as a physical therapy assistant.
Their son, Warren "Mike" Larson, and his wife, Georgia, of Las Cruces, N.M., visited earlier to celebrate the occasion. Their daughter, Jill Bradney, and her husband, Ed, Lawrence, will celebrate with them on Sunday. They also have five grandchildren.

John and Faye Hadley, Lawrence, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with family on Friday at their home.
Faye Hulce and John Hadley were married Aug. 11, 1946, at the bride's mother's home in Lawrence.
John retired in 1990 from Kansas Public Service. Faye retired in 1992 from Douglas County Senior Center.
Their children are John Jr. and Glenda Hadley, Glenrock, Wyo., and Ed Hadley, Overland Park. They have four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Groom's attendants were Thaisa Thomas, Devin Konkel, Mark McCann and Ricardo Ruiz. Flower girl was Lily Berry. Ring bearer was Zach Konkel. Ushers were Daniel Berry and Kris Williams. Guest book attendants were Abby and Thomas Schuh. Bride's helpers were Caitlin, Cassidy, Abby and Madison Konkel.
A reception was given at Pachamama's restaurant in west Lawrence.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Lawrence High School. She received a bachelor's degree in middle secondary education in 2000 from Kansas University, where she earned a master's degree in school counseling in 2005. She is a guidance counselor at Baldwin High School.
The groom is a 1991 graduate of Chapparal High School. He attended Fort Hays State University and KU. He is a site acquisition consultant at SSC Inc. in Overland Park.
The couple reside in Lawrence.
