Votaw
Elizabeth and Lyle Votaw
Lyle and Elizabeth Votaw, Lawrence, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 16 at the home of Don and Beverly Gardner, 3209 Yellowstone Drive in Lawrence.
Lyle Votaw and Elizabeth Leach were married Jan. 5, 1955, in Mexico, Mo.
Lyle was employed at All Star Dairy, formerly known as Lawrence Sanitary, for 42 years. After retiring, he worked for Douglas County Maintenance for 13 years. Elizabeth worked at the fountain in Raney's drug store for several years before it closed.
The reception will be given by their children, Don and Beverly Gardner, Lawrence; Lynn and Anna Votaw, Ottawa; and Linda Nelson, Baldwin; and their two grandchildren.
The couple request no gifts.

Carol and Donald Taylor
Carol Lynn Taylor and Donald Keith Taylor, Wauchula, Fla., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family gathering in Florida.
They were married Jan. 3, 1955, in Eureka Springs, Ark.
They lived in Lawrence from 1957 to 1977 then moved to the Lone Star Lake area.
Don worked for DuPont in Tecumseh from 1959 until 1987. He also worked part-time for Anderson Rentals in Lawrence. After retiring from DuPont, he worked two years at Lawrence Paper Co.
Carol was a homemaker and had a day care. She later worked for the Lawrence Holidome and Kansas Color Press.
After traveling for more than a year across the country in their motor home, they relocated to Wauchula, Fla., in 1996.
Their children are Mitchell Taylor, Mechanicsburg, Ohio; Teresa Latimer, Overland Park; Gregory Taylor, Gardner; and Bradley Taylor, Denver. They have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Walter and Pat Rockhold
Walter and Pat Rockhold, Baldwin, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday.
The couple were married Jan. 14, 1955, at the First Methodist Church in Baldwin.
They have two sons, Allen Rockhold and Gary Rockhold, and two grandchildren.

Jere and G. June Neibarger will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary Sunday.
Jere Neibarger and June Lesser were married Jan. 9, 1965, in the Congregational Church in Tonganoxie.
Their children are Katrina Rodriguez, Indianapolis; Anna White, Lawrence; and Derek Neibarger, Lawrence. They have seven grandchildren.

Miller
Duane and Margie Miller, Lawrence, will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary with a reception at 7 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Union Pacific Depot. Family and friends are invited.
The couple were married Jan. 11, 1980, in Lawrence. Hosts for the reception will be Ronald and Linda Lash.
