“The Daily Show” and Jon Stewart started last night’s show by blasting Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback and recent bills from the state legislature.

Concealed carry, social services, and various budget bills all got the Daily Show treatment in an eight-minute segment titled “GOPsters Paradise.” (Remember, back in October, the Comedy Central show came to Lawrence to film a segment on “Brownback’s Conservative Experiment”)

At least one Kansas lawmaker commented on the national attention. Republican Rep. Stephanie Clayton tweeted:

I see that the #ksleg made @TheDailyShow. Again. When we set our state up for ridicule, it hurts us economically, and that's not funny.
