Kansas volleyball defeats TCU in four sets

The Kansas volleyball team defeated TCU in four sets (25-14, 25-20, 25-19, 25-14) in the first of two matches at Schollmaier Arena this weekend. KU’s lone loss in Friday’s match came during the second set.

With its first win over a Big 12 opponent in the spring portion of its schedule, Kansas improved to 7-10 overall and 6-9 in league play this season. TCU fell to 1-14, which includes a 1-11 clip during Big 12 action.

The Jayhawks were led on offense with double-digit kill performances from Jenny Mosser, Ayah Elnady and Caroline Crawford. Mosser had a match-high 16 kills on 33 attempts with only one error, while Elnady finished with 15 kills and 11 digs for a double-double. Crawford recorded 11 kills, while also pacing KU with two solo blocks and seven block assists.

Kansas will conclude its two-match series with TCU at 1 p.m. Saturday.
