Updated 2:37 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2025:

Utah transfer guard Terrence Brown, an All-Big 12 honorable mention who was third in the conference in scoring at 19.9 points per game, has completed a Zoom call with Kansas and will “most likely early next week” take a visit to Lawrence, his advisor Adam Kado told the Journal-World in a text message on Friday evening.

Kado previously confirmed that KU was among a group of six schools Brown was considering along with Kentucky, North Carolina, Oregon, Ole Miss and USC, as The Field of 68 first reported.

A 6-foot-3 guard who gets to the foul line often, Brown shot 45.3% from the field, 32.7% from beyond the arc and 77.5% from the free-throw line in his lone season with the Runnin’ Utes. His standout performances included 36 points on 23 shots in an overtime victory over Weber State on Nov. 8 and 33 points on 24 shots in a loss to Kansas State on Jan. 20.

The Jayhawks saw him firsthand on Feb. 7 and limited him to 16 points on 6-for-17 shooting in a 71-59 win for KU at Allen Fieldhouse.

Originally from Minneapolis, Brown started his career at Fairleigh Dickinson during the 2023-24 season. He started 17 of the 32 games in which he played as a freshman and posted 7.8 points per game, but his breakout campaign came as a sophomore when he averaged 20.6 points and 5.6 rebounds and was his conference’s most improved player and a first-team all-league selection. He then transferred to Utah, which finished last in the Big 12 with a 10-22 record and 2-16 in league play.

If Brown sets a visit in stone, he will follow, as previously reported by Shay Wildeboor of JayhawkSlant.com, Robert Morris transfer forward DeSean Goode. However, Cal transfer Dai Dai Ames, who was going to visit, committed to Tennessee.

Several other players have reportedly had Zoom calls with KU at various points in recent days, including guards Wes Enis (South Florida), Terrence Hill Jr. (VCU) and Jaylen Petty (Texas Tech).
