The Big 12 Conference on Monday announced a two-year extension of its college basketball clash with the BIG EAST.

The scheduling alliance, dubbed the Big 12-BIG EAST Battle, has been in effect since the 2019-20 season and now will run through the 2024-25 season.

Both conferences have added schools since the initial agreement was signed and, as a result, the extension also will increase the number of games from 10 per season to 11.

The 2022 version, which will be played between Nov. 29 and Dec. 4, will still feature 10 matchups, with each conference hosting five games and going on the road for five games. When the Battle grows to 11 games, the Big 12 will host six games during the 2023-24 season and the BIG EAST will host six games during the 2024-25 season.

The matchups will continue to be determined through discussions involving officials from both conferences and the home team still will choose the venue for its game.

Kansas owns a 2-1 record thus far in the Big 12-BIG EAST Battle, with a road loss at Villanova in 2019, a home win over Creighton in 2020 and a road win at St. John’s last season.

The defending national champion Jayhawks are slated to play host to Seton Hall on Dec. 1 this season in their fourth game in the clash with the BIG EAST.

Nov. 30 – Providence at TCU

Nov. 30 – Georgetown at Texas Tech

Nov. 30 – Kansas State at Butler

Dec. 1 – Creighton at Texas

Dec. 1 – Oklahoma State at Connecticut

Dec. 3 – Oklahoma at Villanova

Dec. 3 – West Virginia at Xavier

Dec. 4 – St. John’s at Iowa State
