Haskell Indian Nations University junior Tierzah Penn was named the Continental Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for her performance during a series of wins for the Fighting Indians last week.

Penn averaged 23 points per game against conference opponents Washington Adventist, which Haskell (7-12, 2-0 CAC) beat 72-58 on Jan. 17, and Fisher College, which fell in dramatic fashion, 104-18, on Sunday.

Penn, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, scored 18 against WAU and 28 against Fisher.

Between the two games, she made 8 of 16 3-pointers, averaged 3.5 rebounds and collected four steals.
