Haskell volleyball player earns weekly honor after school hosts CAC Classic

Haskell Indian Nations University hosted three schools over the weekend in the Continental Athletic Conference Volleyball Classic, where the Indians came away with a pair of wins and a player-of-the-week honor.

Tressa Jim, a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation from Mayetta, earned Attacker of the Week for her performance.

She notched 58 kills across six matches against CAC opponents, including 15 kills in a 3-1 loss to Fisher College of Massachusetts on Saturday. The loss followed a 3-0 win against Fisher one day earlier, during which she tallied 11 kills.

Jim also reached double digits with 10 kills in a 3-0 setback to Spartanburg Methodist to open Saturday’s action following a 3-1 victory against the Pioneers on Friday. Haskell closed the weekend with losses against Florida National.
