Another week of the fall high school sports season brought dominating performances and comeback heroics from local athletes. Here are this week’s selections for Journal-World Athletes of the Week:

Claire Heinritz, Free State

Heinritz finished second in the Chesty Lion Shootout girls golf tournament on Wednesday, scoring a 93 and leading the Firebirds to second place.

Oscar Paden, Lawrence

Lawrence boys soccer entered halftime down 1-0 at home against Shawnee Mission Northwest on Tuesday. The Lions came out of halftime on fire, and Paden secured the go-ahead goal to lift Lawrence to a 2-1 win.
