FSHS boys bowling claims 2nd at Bishop Miege Invitational, Free State girls place 3rd

Free State's boys bowling team placed second out of 12 squads at the Bishop Miege Invitational on Saturday at Olathe Lanes East Bowling Center.
Both Free State bowling teams took home some hardware after the Bishop Miege Invitational at Olathe Lanes East Bowling Center this past weekend.
Free State’s boys varsity bowling team finished as a runner-up out of 12 teams, posting a total score of 3,072 as a squad. FSHS girls finished third with a team score of 2,369. Topeka High, meanwhile, won both varsity competitions.
The Firebirds also had an individual earn a medal in both divisions. Joey Taylor netted second in the boys competition with a series score of 675. On the girls side, Ashley Edwinson placed fourth with a series score of 501.
Ryan Neff, who claimed seventh with a series score of 589, was the only other Firebird to end up in the top 10 in either division.
Free State will be back in action at Olathe Lanes East Bowling Center at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
