Megan Falcon, a former All-American singles player and currently the assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin, has been named associate head coach of the Kansas women’s tennis program.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Megan join our Kansas tennis program,” KU head coach Todd Chapman said in a team release. “Megan has an incredible competitive playing background at the junior, collegiate and professional level, and will bring a high level of coaching to Kansas tennis. I feel like we hit a home run with this hire, and I can’t wait for Megan to get to campus and start working with us.”

Falcon coached at Wisconsin for three seasons, helping the Badgers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in nearly two decades. Prior to that she served as an assistant coach at Gonzaga, helping guide the Bulldogs to a program-record 16 wins and a second-place finish in the West Coast Conference, which is the team’s highest finish in program history.

Falcon was also a volunteer assistant coach for one season at Houston, where she helped the Cougars reach the 2015 NCAA Tournament and attain the highest national ranking in program history (28th). As a player, Falcon was a three-time all-American in singles for LSU, and reached No. 1 in the nation in singles and the No. 10 ranking in doubles. Falcon was even named the SEC Player of the Year in 2007.
