The on-again-off-again recruitment of The Villages, Fla., point guard Tre Mann appears to have come to a close.

According to a Tuesday evening Tweet from his own account, Mann has orally committed to Florida, picking the Gators over Kansas, North Carolina and Tennessee and eliminating the need for planned visits with the KU coaching staff in the coming weeks.

“I’m 100 percent committed to the University of Florida,” Mann Tweeted.

Just last week, Mann, ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 30 overall prospect in the 2019 class, scheduled an in-home visit with KU on Sept. 10 and an official visit to Lawrence for Sept. 21. Neither will happen now and the Jayhawks will move on without Mann.

In case you missed it, Tuesday brought some good news for KU on the recruiting front, with the mother of No. 9-ranked forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl telling KUsports.com recruiting insider Matt Scott of her son’s plans to visit Late Night in the Phog the weekend of Sept. 28,

Earlier in the day, No. 3-ranked 2019 prospect, James Wiseman, a native of Memphis, declared his intention to visit KU the same weekend.
