Letter to the editor: Apologize or end rivalry

To the editor:

I’m 73 and I’ve been going to KU football games since I was a kid off and on, and I for one don’t think it’s worth it, and for the reasons you mentioned.

But I have a caveat to that: Has the state of Missouri ever issued a formal apology to the state of Kansas for what Quantrill and his state-sponsored terrorists did to us?

If it has happened, I would reconsider my opinion, but if not, I have no interest in having anything to do with Missouri whatsoever.
