To the editor:

This is an open letter to Kansas’ two U.S. senators. Your reaction to President Donald Trump’s ban on Bombardier jet sales in the United States is both flaccid and against the interests of Kansas. You should be ashamed to claim that you represent the Kansans that elected you to office. Your press releases further reflect your spinelessness to stand for those you claim to represent and reflect your fear of expressing the interests of your constituents to Trump, whose favor you cherish more than what you’ve sworn to uphold.

This is no surprise. Your allegiance to Trump’s agenda of ignorant, infantile policies against the interests of Kansans and all Americans has been consistent throughout your tenure in the Senate. From tariffs to health care. You’ve voted to place hardships on agriculture, industry, small business and services statewide.

Sen. “Doc” Marshall, our now “homespun” medical hero, has just recently been found to have sued 700 of his patients for outstanding charges. He should read the Hippocratic Oath he swore to uphold before becoming a MD. Good luck defending your conduct on that count.

Just come clean. Both of you are just like the rest of the sold-out GOP in Congress. You’re never going to stand up for your constituents. You’re too scared of Trump. Do yourself and Kansas a favor: just admit it and get out of the way with your lifetime paid-by-Kansans benefits.
