Letter to the editor: Bob Billings project doesn’t add up
To the editor:
Residents on streets adjoining Bob Billings west of Kasold have been waiting more than a month for work to recommence on a reconstruction project that began in the spring, one of many such projects around town. An LJW article published on July 16 quoted a source indicating that such work was “due to start any minute now,” and a neighbor was told by a city official that it would be completed by the end of July. Nothing has happened in the interim, and residents have been inconvenienced by an incomplete roadway and awkward, potentially dangerous entry and exit points to the north lane of Bob Billings. It has been weeks since any workers or vehicles from contractor King Construction have even been sighted on the project. No one at City Hall seems to have any reliable answers. Why are so many other road projects underway while this one remains unfinished?
