Letter to the editor: Peaceful place
To the editor:
With the many articles and talk, both nationally and locally, about mental health, especially during the pandemic, it distresses me that the city is considering paving a road that would encroach upon the dog park. All of us, no matter of mental state, need green space, and the dog park is special. It is open fields and wooded areas, a place to walk leisurely or chase after one’s bird chatter, a place without the noise and smell for cars and motorcycles. Peace.
Surely the city can find another option for cars vacating the athletic fields, such as a traffic light change or an on/off ramp and/or an overpass at the K-10 intersection.
