To the editor:

Donald Trump is an expert at tearing things down. He wants to tear down Social Security and eliminate it; tear down Medicare and Medicaid and eliminate them; tear down our Postal Service and make it harder to receive our medications, Social Security, election ballots and other mail on time. He wants to make it harder for people of color and struggling families to move into the suburbs or wherever they choose. He wants to tear down our immigration system, tear children away from their parents, tear away unemployment assistance when it means paying rent or living under a bridge. He wants to tear down science and common sense, force children and educators back to school, force senior citizens to risk their lives to vote and slow down coronavirus testing to make the virus “magically disappear.” He wants to tear down our laws and our Constitution so he can cheat to win reelection, tear down our institutions, fire people right and left and replace them with his unqualified cronies and crooks to do his bidding and break our laws.

Why is it so easy to list the things Trump is tearing down and so hard to list things he is building up? Why is it so hard to list even one good thing he has done for our country in three and a half years?

Think, people! Think through all of Trump’s lies and distractions! Think what is the right thing to do for our country, which is hurting so badly. Think! Think! And vote!
