Letter to the editor: Trump trying to hide his guilt
To the editor:
An illegal military invasion of Venezuela will not make us rally around the flag and ignore the new revelations that Trump provided Jeffrey Epstein a massage girl pipeline from Mara Lago for years. That Trump was Epstein’s most frequent flier. The attack will not hide the damning testimony from Jack Smith about Trump’s guilt in the election interference and documents cases. I do not want Trump as our leader, but I do not want Russia invading our country, seizing Trump, then dictating what our future will be. We obviously have not learned the lessons from our recent past when we invaded Iraq with the mission goal of regime change. Do you think China will look at this as an opportunity to invade its neighbor? Do you think Russia will stop at Ukraine now that Trump has illegally invaded Venezuela? The world sees America as an adversary and a bully. After Trump’s illegal invasion of Venezuela that is a fact and no longer an opinion. Regime change has never worked out well. We never had a good plan for the day after. Gen. Mark Milley said it best; every $1 we spent through USAID was $1 less he had to spend on bullets. It seems we’ve decided to go the bullets route instead of soft power through humanitarian aid. I fear we are on a fast track to World War III. Trump is starting military actions in multiple countries all to hide his guilt. What a cruel sick person.
