Letter to the editor: An open letter to Jerry Moran
To the editor:
Sen. Moran,
I want to believe you are a decent human who decided to run for office so you could serve the people of Kansas to your best ability.
How does standing by as a president who repeatedly says and shows that his priority is to himself and his billionaire friends at the expense of your constituents make you feel?
As a future person may ask: What did Jerry Moran do to help when Kansans were losing affordable access to health care simply because the current president had an issue with someone else coming up with a solution that has helped millions of Americans (regardless of political affiliation) and thousands of Kansans have access to affordable health care?
What is the point of being part of a group that promotes hate of anyone not in their particular fraternity led by a person who fires anyone, including supporters, he decides aren’t loyal to him. How did Jerry Moran feel about promoting such divisive hatred by standing silent as the leader of his party continues to sow hate.
And what did Jerry Moran do when the United States Constitution was under blatant attack by the president of the United States?
Only you can make the patriotic decision.
Kathleen Dinneen,
Lawrence
