Letter to the editor: What happened to negotiating?

To the editor:

So we wake on a balmy, warm Sunday morning to find we are at war with Iran; maybe not a formally declared one, but a war just the same.

Why? Not that I want anyone to have, threaten to use or actually use nuclear weapons, but does this action really help protect the world? Or is it so that the great and powerful Donald can show the world how macho he is. While the senior officials in the Pentagon may have been in on the planning and execution, who in Congress knew we were going to war? Was Congress even told? Consulted with? Even given a chance to approve of it?

So much for negotiations.
