Letter to the editor: Sen. Marshall’s misinformation

To the editor:

U.S. Sen. Roger Marshall in a press release on June 23 reports that “The One Big, Beautiful Bill puts an extra $1,000 a month back in your pocket — now that’s money for groceries, for gas, or your kids’ school supplies.” In the same press release he reports that “And for our seniors, we’re letting you write off Social Security income because you’ve earned it.” Neither of these statements contains any semblance of reality. I am saddened that my elected representative chooses to provide such misinformation to his constituents.
