Letter to the editor: Voting Trump
To the editor:
Most of your letters to the editor express far left views. But in the interest of freedom of speech I would like to tell you why I am voting for Donald Trump.
I liked his policies; my life was so much better when he was president. People were working. People were happy. The grocery prices were not out of sight. People could afford to buy a house and live the American Dream. My utility bills were reasonable and I could afford my home and car insurance. Joe Biden’s policies have caused inflation, and apparently the Democrats are OK with it.
The open border is a disaster. Drugs and criminals are everywhere. Hard-working taxpayers are paying to support millions of people who Biden incentivized to invade our country. Trump had the border pretty much closed, and he will do it again.
The Democrats claim Trump is a threat to democracy. He was president for four years. He wasn’t a threat to democracy then and he isn’t now. The world respected him. Foreign adversaries see him as a man of strength and tread lightly.
I believe the reason the Democratic establishment is so dead set against Trump is because he is an outsider and he is a threat to business as usual in Washington, D.C. I also believe if the curtain were to be pulled back on what really goes on in our nation’s capital we would be so sickened we would throw out most of the people who work there.
