To the editor:

I was born and raised in Lawrence. Moved several years ago out of the area.

I read the paper daily and become more sad and discouraged about the town.

I am surprised and shocked about how far left Lawrence has become.

My main concern is the homeless situation and how Lawrence seems to be promoting more people to come to town to be catered to. For those of you not paying attention, your fine leaders want to you spend millions of your dollars to “help” the homeless.

Never mind the many taxpayers of Lawrence who could use the help. No, they want to house people with your money. I am betting the majority of folks in Lawrence don’t want this. Speak up; not that your “leaders” will listen.
