Letter to the editor: City is failing some residents

To the editor:

The Lawrence homeless policy is ridiculous. Even though we have areas designated for camping, the city allows people to camp wherever they want. People try to throw people off the bridge or light businesses on fire or walk into people’s homes or walk up to innocent people and punch them in the face for no reason. As long as it’s in North Lawrence, the city seems to allow the homeless to do anything. We pay the same taxes as everyone else, but the city doesn’t care. At what point does the city treat all areas the same?

David McChristy,

Lawrence
